Day 1: Arrival Phnom Phen
Arrival Phnom Penh airport,after emigration formalities you will be transfered to hotel for check in. rest and relax . Afternoon Proceed for visit the notorious Killing Fields “ChoeungEk” 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison during Pol Pot regime ,back to hotel .Overnight at Phnomphen.
Day 2: Phnom phen
After breakfast at hotel ,start your city tour to the Royal Palace,which was constructed in the 19th century when the capital moved from Oudong to Phnom Penh, and has been the home for the Kings of Cambodia since 1866. The palace is a testament to Khmer architectural and aesthetic proficiency so prevalent in their royal and religious monuments. Within the royal palace is the Silver Pagoda, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. Continue to National Museum, one of Phnom Penh’s true architectural gems. It was designed in Khmer style in 1917 by famed French architect Georges Groslier & Ecole Des Arts Cambodgiens.
Afternoon, visit Wat Unalom, the Buddish Temple located at the central of Phnom Penh city. Continue to visit Wat Phnom Temple, a small hill crowned by an active Wat (Pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of Phnom Penh. You may also visit some other highlights of Phnom Penh included, Independence Monument, Diamond Island or River front at timing and own desire. Next visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum , This was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Continue visit as well Russian market , a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. Day 3: Siem reap
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Siem Reap via private car .Upon arrival, check in at hotel and take quick rest. Afternoon, excursion to visit the floating village of Chong Kh neas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the”Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village”move from place to place following water levels and current. Overnight at Siem reap .
Day 4: Siem reap
Breakfast at hotel . Today will start at the World Heritage Site; visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. You will have lunch at local restaurant at your own expense. Continue visit Ta Prohm. One of the area’s most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them.
Afternoon, visit the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Angkor Wat, unquestionably one of the wonders of the ancient world. Erected before 1150 AD, this temple-complex represents one of the most intricate and dramatic religious structures ever conceived by the human mind. Its bas-reliefs and friezes are an illustrated guide to Hindu mythology. There is still an active Buddhist monastery within the temple domain. Explore the stone galleries, terraces, and grounds.
