Gems of Northkerala

Day 1: Arrival Manglore airport- Bekal( 75km- 1.5hrs)

Welcome to God’s own Country! On the arrival at Mangalore airport you will be received from the Airport and take you to Bekal. On reaching bekal check-in to the Hotel,rest and relax . Afterwards visit the largest and most preserved fort in Kerala, “Bekal Fort” and Kappil Beach. In the meanwhile you can also visit Ananthapura Lake Temple, Kanwatheertha Beach for a leisure .Overnight stay at Bekal.

Day 2: Bekal

Breakfast at hotel .Today we proceed for a soft trekking to Ranipuram hills,the ooty of Kerala. Ranipuram was also known as Madathumala. This untamed life haven of Kanhangad comprises of an arrangement of greenery that are normal just toward the Western Ghats. This biodiversity hotspot still stays unexplored totally and there is a ton to contemplate around it. Back to hotel .Overnight at Bekal .

Day 3: Bekal – Kannur ( 75 km – 1.45 hrs)

In the morning after the breakfast check-out from the hotel and move to ‘Kannur ’. Kannur is one among the northernmost districts in the south western state of Kerala . The old name ‘Cannanore’ is the anglicised form of the Malayalam word Kannur. On reaching  check-in the hotel .rest and relax .Later evening we proceed to visit the Muzhappilangad drive in beach .Muzhappilangad Beach is famous for being Kerala’s only drive-in beach,you have a 4 km stretch of sand that awaits you to simply drive along as you soak in the view of the beautiful Malabar Coast. It is often considered a swimmers paradise as the black rocks protect the beach from deep currents. This is a perfect way to relax and soak in this clean and well maintained beach. One can also take part in adventure sports like paragliding, parasailing  along with water sports, power boating or a simple catamaran ride.back to hotel .Overnight at Kannur .

Day 4: Kannur  

Breakfast at hotel .Today we  proceed to visit places like Arakkal Kettu Museum to see some historical monuments, Kanhirode weaving cooperative, Sri. Muthappan Temple at Parassinikadavu, and also Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary. Evening back to hotel .Overnight stay at Kannur .

Day 5 : Kannur – Wayanad( 115 km – 03 hrs)

After breakfast check-out and move on to the next destination Wayanad. On arrival check-in to Resort. On the way you can visit the chain tree and the view point,Pakshipathalam Iruppu falls, Banasura Sagar Dam-it’s known as largest earth dam in India. Afternoon visit s Pazhassiraja Tomb and museum in Mananthavady, glass house of Kottamuda, Chembra Peak. Over night at Wayanad.

Day 6 : Wayanad

Morning after enjoying breakfast proceeds for sightseeings of Wayanad. There are lots of place for trekking and exciting treasure that can be found at Edakkal caves after visualizing those views move to Meenmutty waterfalls, Muthanga wild life sanctuary, Lakkidi point ,back to resort .Overnight stay at Wayanad.

Day 7: Wayanad – Calicut ( 90 km – 2.5 hrs)

After breakfasts check-out from the resort and proceed to Kozhikode and on reaching the destination check-in to the hotel.Later evening visit kappad beach . Kappad beach is one of the main attractions of Kozhikode. A lush, serene beach shaded by inland palm trees, it has golden sands. Kappad is that beach on which the Portuguese navigator, Vasco-Da-Gama kept his foot when he arrived in Kerala, way back in the year 1498. This also led to the beginning of Portuguese influence in Kerala and Goa.Another highlight here is a houseboat cruise on the waters of Kapad River, sailing down to the backwaters for some peaceful moments. Indulge in shopping, sunbathing, and sightseeing. The shops and stalls near the beach sell garments and other interesting knick-knacks. Do not forget to get your hands on special wafer-thin Banana chips. The beach shacks here serve sumptuous vegetarian and seafood delicacies. Overnight at Calicut.

Day 8: Calicut

Breakfast at hotel . later on  proceed for sightseeing in Pazhassiraja Museum & Art Gallery to view some nostalgic monuments and pictures.Afternoon visit Beypore. Beypore is one of the oldest ports of Kerala which facilitated trading with Middle East. It was also a prominent link for the maritime silk route.The town is famous for building wooden ships, called Dhows or Urus. However, in the present day scenario, wooden ships have lost their demand and the artisans have shifted to making model pieces of these giant ships to be sold as souvenirs. This small town has some serene beaches, old lighthouses,harbours, ship building yards and other tourist attractions.Later evening visit the Kozhikodes very famous SM Street (Sweat Meat Street)which is known to be one of the fussiest cities to shop many things. You can taste the very popular ‘Kozhikodan Halwa’, which is available in many shops over here. The colourful and delicious halwa with banana chips are desirable items for visitors shopping from Kozhikode. Another spice market located on the Big Bazaar Road, is another renowned shopping areas where you can buy various varieties of Keralan spices at wholesale rates. Beside all these, there are plenty of eateries that offer huge varieties of delicacies. The seafood and traditional Malabari cuisine are too good and worth to have it once if you are here and finally visit  the Calicut beach ,it is  one of the very vibrant beaches of Kerala  at nights . back to hotel .Overnight at Calicut .

Day 9: Calicut departure
